Chairman's Corner:

As my first opportunity to communicate to you as the new chairman, I want to say
thank you to all previous chairpersons for their hard work and dedication
throughout the years. This chapter would not have survived for so long without
their dedication.
Our annual Law Enforcement Luncheon in 2008 was a resounding success and we are
looking forward to greater turn outs at our events and meetings in 2009! I
am encouraging all members (and non-members) to check out our web site, at
www.asiswny.org, which will be used
to enhance communications and display our goals and accomplishments for years to
come. I encourage members to provide regular input and feedback on the
site. The web site will also include the meeting schedule for date(s) and
location(s) for all up coming events.
Our goals for 2009 include raising money for scholarships, expanding our
chapter’s revenue and supplying quality educational programs for our members.
This year is our ASIS #007 Chapter’s 53rd Anniversary! A milestone worth
celebrating!
Some of the events we are looking into for this year are:
- Buffalo Bisons Game
- Visit to location(s) of security interest
- School Security & Safety Training Seminar
- Annual Golf Outing at Fox Valley Country Club
2009 Golf Tournament Sponsors
We will be reaching out for assistance on these
throughout the year.
My closing message to each and every member is GET INVOLVED in some way. Take a
moment to meet new people and exchange business cards with at least one person
at every meeting or event. We are a very small chapter with only 88 chapter
members who have resources and the ability to achieve great results for our
companies and ASIS in 2009 and beyond.
Leadership roles are still available; please contact a board member if you are
interested.
